His journey into filmmaking began at a young age, when his imaginative vision was recognised with a scholarship from the Queensland Arts Council. Matt went on to complete a Bachelor of Applied Media with Honours, specialising in directing. During his studies, he gained hands-on experience across a wide range of productions, refining his skills both behind the camera and in post-production.
