Kamura (Kihei Shiina) is a cold-hearted elite doctor. While attracting attention for his groundbreaking new treatment to rejuvenate his aging heart, he is recruited by a shady bureaucrat, Sakuma (Kenichi Takifuji), to the National Neomedical Center. Kamura, who was assured of winning the university professor election, declines the invitation, but immediately after that, he becomes involved in a suspicious document spree accusing him of past medical errors. On the other hand, Kuraki (Tatsuya Nakadai), a famous national actor who is retired due to heart failure, is hospitalized in hopes of conducting a clinical trial on Kamura.
